Allyssa began her acting career as a fresh-faced little girl in the western foothills of Maine, starring in school plays and countless community theater productions. As President of the high school drama club, her passion to perform was honed and she shone in widely coveted lead roles such as "Emily" in Our Town, “Dolly” in The Matchmaker, and "Gwendolyn" in The Importance of Being Earnest. The latter earned her an award for acting excellence at the state competition level.
As a precocious and enterprising 18 year old, Allyssa created her own small business. Sensing the need for a creative outlet for children, she opened her own dance studio, using her love of performing, her compassion for children and her dance skills to usher over 150 students into her expressive and creative world. Under her guidance, the studio's competition team was the first Maine dance troupe ever invited to perform in the FedEx Orange Bowl Halftime Show.
Despite love for her hometown and the children she taught, Allyssa's relentless passion for acting pushed her from the deep roots of Maine to the bright lights of New York City. There she created a name for herself as a talented and dedicated actress. Quickly recognized for her charismatic persona, on set and off, she worked on such major films as The Women, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and The Box. Still her ambition pushed her ever onward, propelling her to the Movie-Making Capital of the world.
Though in LA for a mere 2 years, Allyssa has already established herself as a successful full time actress . She has continued to expand her resume to include two national commercials (Neosporin and AT&T), a recurring role on "All My Children", a co-star appearance on the hit ABC show "Castle", and countless short films and webisodes. Ever fresh and incredibly versatile, directors and crew agree that Allyssa is an energetic and uplifting addition to any set. She is a tireless and professional actress with complete dedication and focus on her craft.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Allyssa recently produced and co-starred in her own short film, Til Death Do Us Part, currently on the festival circuit. In addition, she co-produced and starred in a spec commercial for Pepto Bismal.
